What could be more ‘of the moment’ than a pop-up vintage party?  We can’t wait for Freixenet’s retro themed ‘Very Impromptu Party’ event at cosmopolitan venue ‘The Vaults’, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter on Thursday, 26th May.  Invitations are limited, but you can be in with a chance of being at this chic event– would you like to join in the fun?

Attendees to this exclusive party will be able to soak up the charm of the occasion while enjoying fabulous entertainment.  Following welcome drinks of Freixenet Strawberry Bellini’s there will be entertainment and fun with a vintage feel, while dainty afternoon-tea style sandwiches and indulgent Kiss Me Cupcakes will be served to round off the perfect evening.   And, of course, cute little black bottles of chilled Freixenet Cordon Negro will be the accessory of choice!

The party won’t stop at the end of the evening, as a series of Freixenet VIPs will take place throughout the UK during 2011 – an alfresco entertaining event, full of sparkle and glamour, with a renowned chef is planned for July. Brendan Cole, who hosted the inaugural dance master class in November 2010, said: “From the moment the doors open and the first cork is popped at the Freixenet VIP event, everyone will be able to enjoy something a little special – who knows what will happen!”

Roobios tea

Not so much of a new discovery at KMC, but we’ve re-developed our love for it. After months…ok years of being hooked on coffee and tea, we’ve decided to become a little more caffeine free.

Rooibos is a red coloured tea, which is caffeine free. Its native to South Africa and the name Rooibos means Red bush. Its known for it antioxidant properties and we love the fact that other countries have started to use a concentrated roobios to produce expressos, red lattes and cappuccinos- a coffee company that does just that in our local area is Cafe blend.

Historically it was used by Bushmen as a herbal medicine and later by Malay slaves who used it as a tea

Rooibos is now being used in the baking arena, watch this space for our very own redbush inspired cupcakes!
